As the person who originally put out the call for help in finding this owl (the
“us” referred to in the original Facebook post is Safe Wings Ottawa), I want to
thank everyone for their concern. Several people searched for it today with no
luck, and local residents continue to be on the lookout.

If anyone does capture the owl — or any other injured bird in the Ottawa area —
it should be brought to the Ottawa Valley Wild Bird Care Centre at 734 Moodie
Dr, which is much closer than Sandy Pines, or to me in downtown Ottawa if it’s
after 4 pm (I have a rehab permit).

Cheers,

Anouk Hoedeman
