Festival of Flight May 16th Afternoon Report

The birding action has slowed down in the park, despite good conditions on this
beautiful day!

Spicebush has been the hotspot for birding activity this afternoon with a few
rarity’s popping up. A Connecticut Warbler was heard singing as well as a
Mourning Warbler on Spicebush. An Acadian Flycatcher was also seen on the trail
earlier this afternoon.

The campground has been closed due to flooding and will remain closed until
further notice. Many of the trails here in the park require rain boots to
complete as the water table is quite high.

Join us from May 1st until the 20th for the Festival of Flight!
