The Avocet was still there along with Dunlins and Black bellied plovers as of 1:00PM.
Please note that there is no parking close to the west side where the flooded field is located. The road is very busy so please be careful walking on the side of the road if you plan to view this location, and park in a space that will not interfere with traffic flow on this narrow road. From the QEW, take Trafalgar Road north to Dundas Street, then left on Dundas and right on Sixth Line. The avocet is in a flooded field on the west side of Sixth Line, just before 3380 Sixth Line, where there's a sign telling you that the field is about to be developed as residential properties. _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO) - the provincial birding organization.
