Festival of Flight May 4th Afternoon Report

Things have picked up as the day has progressed with some new exciting
sightings. Prothonotary Warblers have arrived at Bennet Road, Pony Barn, and
Tulip Tree Trail. Also on Tulip Tree, a Hooded Warbler has been showing well
along with a few other warbler species. A Blue-winged Warbler and Lawrence’s
Warbler has been spotted on Bennet as well. Also, a Grasshopper Sparrow has
been found at the field adjacent to Warbler Way on the Eastside. Finally, two
Mourning Warblers have been found, one at Spice Bush and another at the Visitor
Centre

More Rain has caused most of the trails to be slippery and wet. The south end
of Harrison Trail, South Point, and Marsh Trail are extremely wet and flooded
in parts, tall boots are recommended.

Join us from May 1st until the 19th for the Festival of Flight.

Guided hikes available.
