Rondeau Festival of Flight May 15th Morning Report

A fantastic morning here in Rondeau with huge numbers moving through the park.
Last nights South winds have brought a refreshing diversity on this wonderfully
warm and sunny day. Birds are spread out across the park high up and singing
with Southpoint Trail and the north end of Harrison Trail being hotspots. 25
species of warblers were recorded this morning on the East side of Southpoint
(requires tall boots to complete), Bay-breasted, Blackpoll, Golden-winged, and
Hooded Warblers, as well as White-eyed Vireos. A Mourning Warbler was found
this morning on Bennett Rd. Finally, a Golden-winged Warbler was seen on Water
St.

The Summer tanager continues to be seen at 17356 Lakeshore Rd, please stay
close to the pavement when viewing.

Join us from May 1st until the 19th for the Festival of Flight
