I just found a Yellow-throated Warbler ( Photos on eBird shortly under
Grand Cornell Hotspot ) in the woodlot near Highway 7 and Ninth Line.
Unfortunately, I lost it when it flew north over Highway 7. A following
three hours of searching didn't turn up the warbler. So just an FYI, if
your birding in Markham keep your eyes up and open!
Good Birding, Jax Nasimok
Directions to Markham: Head east along the 407 to Ninth Line, and head
north to Highway 7. The woodlot I saw the Yellow-throated Warbler in
was just south of Highway 7 and East of Ninth Line. However, there are
many other woodlots in Markham including Swan Lake (16th Avenue, between
Ninth Line and Markham Road), so make sure to keep an eye out for any
odd looking Blackburnians.
