The pelican is still present as of 845 this morning. It is currently sitting on
the north end of the larger island below the power plant (the one with the
danger signs on it). Last night it was on the south side of the same island.
There are several small rock islands in the river near here; it has been using
all of them. You may have to wait for it to go for a swim.

The bird is in breeding plumage.

The best vantange point is from the north end of the cedars on Argyle Ave (the
gravel one not the paved one).

From Roxane’s directions:
Iroquois Falls is 330 km north of North Bay. From Hwy 11, take Hwy 67. At the
stop sign, go straight then turn left at the next stop sign onto Synagogue St
(turns into Cambridge Ave). Then turn right on Park St. avenue. Argyle is the
last street before the mill.
