Carter Dorscht will lead the trip at this fantastic birding hotspot. Meet at 8:00am at the carpool lot at the St. Joseph Island turnoff (corner of Highway 17 and 548). We will travel onto St. Joseph Island, stopping at a variety of birding locations. We will spend time at the Fort St. Joseph National Historic Site, which requires a $3.90 entrance fee. There will be some medium length hikes throughout the day. A spotting scope is encouraged. Bring food and water. We will be targeting early fall migrant songbirds and waterfowl. *Payment System not Working – For Now* Due to changes in government regulation and reporting for Canadian companies, PayPal has not been able to accept OFO payments. We are in communications with PayPal and hope to resolve this extremely frustrating situation very soon. In the meantime, online payment for the Young Birders Camp and Convention is not available. We will announce when payment is back online. *Code of Ethics Feedback – Keep your feedback coming* I was heartened to get several emails with constructive feedback on the Code of Ethics and suggestions for improvements. Please continue to send your feedback – birding and bird photography ethics is important and affects us all and the birds we observe. We will report the feedback and recommendations for improvement at the convention. *Volunteers Needed* As a volunteer organization we are in constant need of volunteers! Right now, we have a need for people with IT, social media, marketing and writing skills. Please email me at [email protected] to find out how you can be part of OFO.
