Ah, that would be a nice new rule.
2. Keep the last backup of the YEAR indefinitely
3. Keep the last backup of the MONTH for 13 months
I like the wording you do use here. What do you think about his:
"Keep the last backup of each week for N weeks."
"Keep the last backup of each months for N months."
"Keep the last backup of each year for N years."
English is not my native language. But I think this makes it quit clear
what the rules is about.
