During packaging of BitBake there was long list of licenses found in

I can rewrite CSS under MIT or GPL ;)

Okay...

Wish:
        MIT for Code
        CC BY for Documentation

Reasoning:
To match with BitBake and because I like non-copyleft permissive licenses

Problems:
New Parser (lexer+lemon) is GPL by Marc Singer, we would have to ask
COW.py and pyrex wrapper for the new parser is copyrighed by mithro (Tim Ansell)

Solution/Process:
a) Ask Holger Schurig, Chris, Richard, Marcin, Tim, Sebastian (frankengul) to relicense the code to MIT b) GPL the whole tree, it is legal to relicense the BSD bits (when keeping the headers) to GPL and we only need to use CC for the manual/ css

I prefer a), b) is more easy and does not involve any agreement from the previous authors.

h.

(except COW.py, which has no license, and methodpool.py,
which is under the BSD license)

3-clause BSD License

BSD license == GPL incompatible, 3-clause BSD License ~= 'modified BSD license' but check the GNU site about compability...
