MIT makes sense for OE itself. For bitbake, I would like to be able to
ask for modifications to the source to be available so I think the GPL
licence makes more sense for bitbake?

I also have a very strong dislike of the "Version 2 or later clause" as
I don't trust later versions and allowing code to be distributed under a
licence I haven't seen is madness.

I'm open to persuasion but at the moment I see GPL as a slightly better
option. I hate licensing...
