Summary: bitbake sometimes seemingly succeeds on the second
attempt
Product: BitBake
Version: 1.8.x
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: critical
Priority: P2
Component: BitBake
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
QAContact: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
I noticed this a couple of times, one example was in bug 2295. For some failed
compilation attempts bitbake will happily "succeed" on the second try although
the underlying problem is still the same. For the reasons outlined in bug 2295
(binary in source being called during compilation), fortune-mod should really
fail and fail for good. It does with "bitbake -c rebuild fortune-mod", but
"bitbake -c rebuild fortune-mod; bitbake fortune-mod" succeeds on the seconf
attempt.
