I'm interested why BitC continues the Lisp tradition of underuse of brackets. Note: I do not question the prefix expression notation here. There are other bracket symbols beyond rounnd ones ([] and {} come to mind immediately; there are also unicode symbols, but there are important reasons for not going out of ASCII). I believe that there have been good reasons for it in lisp conception time. Are these reasons still valid?

A potential good candidate is defmacro construct. There might be other uses.
