No, because a properly written kernel and a properly written runtime are
both allocation-free after initialization. In consequence no mechanism for
memory reclamation is required.

However, I would have no hesitation committing an entire application
platform to reliance on this style of collector, and I'd *gladly* give up
25% of my CPU cores if that is what it took to bring the RAM requirements
back into line.
