my personal feeling from experience is that any language lacking
"placement new" sucks. :-) or at least, when languages conflate
allocation with initialization, i think it sucks. probably the reasons
i think so can be ameliorated with either a freakishly, unearthly good
gc, or maybe via linear types (i gotta learn me some ats)?

but there of course could be reasons why continuing to do so is good
for whatever BitC (or whatever other language) is trying to achieve.
