I'm not a light-table user. However, I view LightTable as an attempt to
blend IDEs with interactive-worksheets like Mathematica or iPython.

As far as I can see, LightTable doesn't change BitC needs. Either way it's
important to provide (a) a robust 'compiler as a library' functionality, to
support type-aware completion (in IDEs, or LT, or emacs), probably as a
separate process; and (b) a stable debugger API, including full
type-introspection.
