No.

Since I was writing that email to many of my friends who are not in the
computer industry as well to some who are, I felt that I had to be a
little aggressive in my advice to them. I don't think most people not in
the field have a very strong grip on the fact that their computer
ennvironments are incredibly insecure and vulnerable to malicious foreign
code. I personally am tired of having my bandwidth at home and at the
office consumed by Code Red and Nimda and SirCam (still!), simply because
most people with computers don't know how vulnerable they are and don't
know how to defend themselves. This particular vulnerability I adverted
to the patch for is so laughably easy to exploit that it will be
exploited, and soon, I have no doubt.

If you have any sense at all, you'll be warning everyone you know with a
computer, especially those who don't know very much about them, in the
strongest possible terms to patch this vulnerability and to keep abreast
of security updates and patches in the future, especially for M$ products.

I didn't have the time or inclination to write separate emails to my
computer-savvy and to my computer-clueless friends respectively. I
apologize if I offended your tough, knowledgeable sensibilities by seeming
to suggest that you, Grand Wizard Brandon, may have anything to fear from
any hacker anywhere in the world.
