Yeah, you can just edit it. No need to restart any process. But I
would be surprised if this cures what ails you. I have:
/dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto noauto,owner 0 0
(no rw) and can write floppies on my machine.
BTW. Do you have an ext2 floppy or is a DOS formatted. If sop,
you'll probably need to have VFAT compiled in as modular in your
kernel.
