The person who wrote Ruby is japanese, I dunno if it ever had japanese
keywords though - I've heard people who don't speak english words usually
just learn the handful of english keywords and live with it, sort of like
how us english speakers use lambda.

Java can be written in unicode, leading to potentially unreadable files. I
dunno if most foreign programmers write in unicode or represent their
variable names in regular ascii for the purposes of readability.

An interesting anecdote - the word 'Jungle' has been adopted by danish,
and is pronounced the same way, even though danish historically has no J
sound, or even a letter J. It's on all their keyboards though...
