I saw a post on comp.lang.python from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Now
goddmamit I *AM* ace.bsd.uchicago.edu and there ain't no Henk around
here. Months ago, I was shut down for being an open relay, and I
tried my damnedest to shut the buggars out, ran some relay tests on my
system and passed. But now I fear that I am being abused again (can't
figure out why someone would spoof a From header to c.l.python with my
server).
Below is the header. Does anyone know what is going on here?
For the record, my email setup is too complicated. For historical
reasons, we use ace.bsd.uchicago.edu as our outgoing mail name though
that server is retired. It has it's MX bit set to
nitace.bsd.uchicago.edu which is a firewall/router that forwards port
25 requests into a LAN server in the 192.* domain. Since I can't
devote my life to figuring out how to configure my mail (sendmail), I
have invariably screwed it up.
