Hello Yoram:

This is Reza, the person you met with Henry Coleman. At first I would like to
say I enjoyed our meeting and value the opportunity to have bid for your
project. Most folks in the biz group are also active contributors of resource
& knowledge in the TAUG group and active participants at the monthly TAUG
meeting.

I believe the quotation we gave you (both Henry & I) was reasonable within
market standards. When you compare the price with other proprietary products
from Nortel or Cisco products that can do the job, you will find that the cost
of those equipment is considerably higher and does not include the engineer or
consultant fees. Fees of $75-$95 for a Telecom consultant is reasonable as per
market standards.

I encourage you to look for other qualified Asterisk developers & Software
developers here within the TAUG group. You will find that there are many, most
of whom are employed full time and a small portion of us are full time
consultants and run a full time business having other employees.

I must also emphasize and make aware, and other consultants here in the TAUG
group is that your design requirement is not relatively small under the hood.
Contrary to what you have mentioned, it requires beyond the basic programming
knowledge of Asterisk and PHP or JSP combined together. It also requires the
skills of someone with strong SQL skills. You are looking for an individual or
company, who has above average VOIP & Application development skills.

You want to bridge a custom application that you are deploying in-house with
Asterisk harnessing Asterisk's capabilities. So this though as trivial as it
may appear to you, is not a relatively small program that can be handled as a
"moon lighting". If it were trivial, your application would have been deployed
by now.

To save your time interviewing other folks, and taking up their time as well,
I'd recommend and suggest that you clearly indicate your hourly rate and time
estimate that you think will require, so that fellow TAUG members are aware
what your expectations are and what it is you can offer them.

Welcome to the group and I wish you well & success.

Best regards,
Reza.

Subject: [biz] Looking for a Asterisk Desginer (Short Term, part-time)

  Hi All,

I am looking for an Asrterisk designer for a relatively small program, which
can be handled as "moon lighting".
This person should be available in Toronto to set up a system for a new
application. It will need basic programming knowledge and the ability to take a
small program from start to finish.

This is a nice job for someone who wants to do a small project in parallel
with other activities.
Please let me know if you are interested to know someone who may be
interested.

  Thank you
