Hi Reza,
When we were considering going into the VoIP market, we considered reselling someone elses services to minimize the risk involved in starting a new venture. We had meetings with a number of providers and found nobody could come close to what we were looking for including Comwave. As you know in our chats together we engineered our own solution because, we felt it was the only way to provide exactly what we wanted. We then looked at connecting our platform to the rest of the world - PRIs, IP Trunking and so on. We again approached Comwave to see what they had to offer in IP trunking (currently they do not offer real PRIs). We found 2 faults that concerned us; 1. Lack of a quality guarantee; it is IP Trunking after all. 2. The actual cost for IP Trunking/Virtual PRI is more expensive than a REAL PRI from Bell. We tried to negotiate but, it didnt get us anywhere and Ill note one more thing that we found; there is no such thing as unlimited, we would pay for every miniute our clients would call locally and it was billed by the minute not the second. There are more competitive solutions out there and if more TAUG Biz member would like to get on board with a Business Co-operative we could get better rates/services. Ill share one more thing in closing. Before getting into our Hosted PBX service, we conducted a market survey of our target audience and found that quality came before cost yes, cost was secondary. Thus, we centred our solution around that ideal. Hello Business Users: "COMWAVE: Unlimited National PRI, SIP, DID Canada wide service overnight!" Is this for real? I've personally encountered problems after problems with comwave service. My folks got it for some long distance savings & their local & overseas circuits are JAM PACKED! On SEVERAL occasions I got fast busy and "the line is not in service". Thought it was fluke...so I called in with my cell and voila, exactly the same thing. Additionally I've tried to make contact with COMWAVE first hand, to inquire about their "Unlimited National PRI, SIP, DID Canada wide service overnight!" plans & service and when I did speak to someone senior... either they knew nothing about what I was talking about, or because I was honest to tell them I'm not huge - they were less interested! As per my experience, I have successfully established contacts with almost all major carriers & their vendors. Most are more than happy to chat and talk & provide good info. Comwave on the other hand was less than enthusiastic. Anyone deal with them in here at a wholesale & carrier level? What are your experiences? Best, Reza.
