The reason I wrote that section is that there are a lot of UPS
manufacturers that carefully word their marketing verbiage to make it
seem that they are providing conditioned power, when in fact they are not.
Another question that can be asked is if the output of the UPS is a pure
sine wave. Some of the cheaper units use what is called a 'stepped' sine
wave, which creates harmonics in the power.
Having said all that, the fact is that electronics are getting better
and better, and many new ways have been devised to deliver quality power
through a UPS. Also, switching power supplies seem to be more tolerant
of noisy power.
For APC, any of their SmartUPS line should do the job.
Other good companies are OneAC and PowerVar.

I don't see this wording on any UPS devices from APC; do they sell
one? If not, who does?
