I have to disagree with you. If you are relying solely on Domain
Registration to build a business model you will not do well. Even the
giant monopoly Network Solutions understands this and has greatly changed
the face of their business. Tucows ofcourse is one place that also
recognizes this, hence OpenSRS and their other business lines. If you
want to rely on Sub $10 domain registrations, then I recommend that you
become a registrar. The process is relatively straight forward albeit not
a cheap one and you will have to prove and put money up to show that you
are in it for the long run.

We have discussed many times that it isn't the price of the domain name,
it is the value add to the registration process that is what will keep
bringing valuable return clients to you, making them a sticky customer and
wanting them to stay with your services.
