I have to say that I am very disappointed with the course Geotrust
appears to have decided to take.

Here was a company with the perfect opportunity to shake up the SSL
Cert market, and they instead have become really no better than any
other's in the business with their excessively high pricing for a
service that really should be priced under $75 retail to the end user.

Now they have set the QuickSSL product at $119 retail, and the
eBusinessID product at $199 retail. That eBusinessID product was a
$75 product when Equifax had it.

Someone needs to get in and shake this market up. Instead they come
in with low prices to draw in the initial sales, and then capitalize
themselves on the artificially inflated prices the virtual monopolies
have permitted to occur.

I think the pricing changes were a very bad move for Geotrust.
