Our managed DNS uses the nameservers ns1/ns2/ns3.mdnsservice.com. Where 
did you see it listed as ns1.tucows.com? Furthermore, you can always 
create CNAMES to these nameservers. I do this myself with my own domain 
names (which are currently hosted on Tucows' DNS), as all nameservers 
are ns1/ns2/ns3.slaughter.com--CNAMES to mdnsservice.com.
