Obama's now ahead in most polls. That's great, but there's just one
problem: the polls could be wrong.
This is an unprecedented election. No one knows how racism may affect what
voters tell pollsters--or what they'll do in the privacy of the voting
booth. And there are plenty of other unknowns.
We can't afford to take any chances with the most important election of
our lifetimes. Whatever the polls say, we all need to get out, talk to
voters, and make sure every single Obama supporter makes it to the polls.

Polls can't always be trusted, for many reasons. Remember what happened in
the New Hampshire primary? Obama was ahead in all the polls--but Hillary
Clinton carried the state on election night.
So we can't afford to get complacent. We don't know whether polls will
translate into votes on Election Day, but we know that our actions can.
Countless studies have shown that the most effective way to ensure that
someone makes it out to vote is to reach out and talk to him or her in
person. And the Obama campaign has asked us to help out in doing that--can
