I'm not sure why u want to use the file xinitrc.blackbox but if there is not desperate reason to use why not use the .xinitrc file in the home directory? in the command line type 'vim ~/.xinitrc' and in the file put the line 'exec /usr/local/bin/blackbox' That should sort the problem, if not let us know and we'll try again
