I'm back to doing some Java work, and am running into the old problem
with dialogs popping up in weird sizes.

What I find is that the initial display of the dialog is usually whacked
(too big!), but if I close it and then re-open it, the next display of
the dialog is reasonable. And if I repeat this, the even numbered
attempts to display are always mis-sized, and the odd numbered attempts
are fine. Weird, huh?

I'd be happy to sort this out if someone could point me at the right area
in the Blackbox source tree, and perhaps give a general description of
just what the window manager does in response to creation of windows such
as these Java dialogs.
