Issues:

a) xfree only, which means we have to deal with two different font engines

b) anti aliasing does not look great for everyone.  The fonts that RH ships 
seem to require AA to look good whereas my Debian machine looks just fine 
without it.

That said, we are likely to implement this.  However it may not make it into 
the next release.
