I'm posting this here because Google hasn't found anything relevant to this,
and because this is a Blackbox mailing list, some of you are probably using
bbcd. For those who aren't, sorry to have filled your inbox.

I've been looking at bbcd recently, running in the slit under blackbox 0.65.
The problem is that bbcd and its console based brother test_cd_ctrl both
fail to start a CD playing. If I start the CD playing using another console
based player (like cdctl) or the buttons on the front of the drive, then all
the other functions of bbcd work - I can pause, resume, skip forward, skip
backwards and stop. I just can't start it again. It seems weird that there
is this a problem with this one function.

The work around is to create a shell script that sets the CD playing using
the command line tools and then starts bbcd, but it's not really the point,
is it?

If anyone has any tips, I'd be grateful to hear them,

Tony
