some good news from Gentoo: yesterday, i did my weekly system update & found among the packages which had been upgraded 'bbrun' (now 1.6 ); i emerged it & it seems to be working ok. this suggests that the new maintainer at Gentoo is indeed positively supporting Blackbox.
