i have noticed that with pics, only one option gets acknowledged.  if 
you use -center first, that is what you get.  if you use -full, that is 
what you get.  i would guess, just an emprically based guess, that the 
tool only accepts one switch related to a pic and throws the rest away.

#works but solid black background
bsetbg -gradient flatcrossdiagonalgradient -to black -from blue
#works
bsetbg -center picture.jpeg -gradient flatcrossdiagonalgradient -to
black -from blue
#does not work
