I tried this with the February 5, 2000 alpha and did not get the same results.
Each new window caused an increase of 1M in X. Netscape caused an increase of
about 4M and Eterm caused an increase of about 2-3M.
I have not noticed X growing by leaps and bounds at all though. The largest it
grew to was 24M (with everything plus Netscape).
Isn't there a new pixmap caching feature that takes more memory? I remember
there was a setting that was causing problems that was also supposed to be
fixed.
