Erm.  I hate to be a stickler, but you guys don't know what you're
talking about.  =:)  bbkeys-0.3.3 has made the caps/num/shift lock weird
behavior thingey a configurable option--disabled by default.  I use
bbkeys-0.3.3 (well, I wrote it, so I figure I should use it...  =:), and
bbkeys grabs keystrokes just fine with caps/num/shift lock pressed.
