It looks like the latter is the problem. I don't believe that you have a
functioning GCC package.
Perhaps you might want to remove the current version of GCC/egcs
from your system and go to www.sunfreeware.com. There they will
have an egcs package you can use... installing software the true
Solaris way.

Another thing to check would be your LD_LIBRARY_PATH. However,
from the looks of it, configure can't even compile normal c/c++ code
used for testing. NAGS -- Not A Good Sign.
As another person noted, if you upgrade to egcs 2.95.X, be forewarned
that you will have to edit all Makefiles which contain CXXFLAGS and
toss in the -fpermissive.
At some point I will try to create a package containing the X header
files shipped with Solaris, in a format compatible with egcs 2.95. Don't
hold your breath, however. I'm always a bit short on time... and this
won't be quick, I think.
Aside note: if someone can do me a favor and create a quick list of
all the files installed with BB 0.60.3 configured with --prefix=/usr/local,
I can generate a Solaris 2.6 Sparc package. Otherwise I'll have to take
a bit longer but will generate it anyways. :)
I'll be whipping up a quick package for all the BBTools that I use (bbpager,
bbkeys, bbmail) and will try to keep it as up to date as my system is.
