toolbar/slit idea

This may be a ridiculous idea, but I thought I'd throw it out there. What if
we made the toolbar and slit separate apps, kinda like bbkeys? Would that be
possible, or are they too closely integrated with the window manager to
split off on their own? I could be wrong, but I think I remember Brad
mentioning something along these lines as his vision for the future of
blackbox. Given the current raging debate over the toolbar and slit, now
might be a good time to split them.

Just a thought...
