I have a couple of problems:

1) I've upgraded my version of Blackbox by unpacking the files in
/usr/local/src as su and making etc. In xterm (user=me) the command
blackbox -version gives "0.60.3-beta". If I then become su and re-type
the command I get "0.51.3.1".
- How do I know which version is actually running? Presumably (?) the
version actually running doesn't change.
- What procedure do I follow to install Blackbox to ensure that there
is only one version of Blackbox on my machine and both Root and I use
it?

2) Having had no joy with a previous version of the delightfully named
bbppp, I got the latest version, but I still can't get it to do
anything. If I click on it, a message pops up in my xterm window saying
"sh: ppp-on command not found". I have configured ppp using drakconf
and I have a fully working connection using kppp.

I'd be grateful for any pointers. I'm relatively new to running both
Linux and Blackbox.
Although I like it, I'm still somewhat confused by Blackbox, but
perhaps that's an issue I'll return to in another message.
