Ok, here's a little rant of mine.

Now that nyz is busy, and morel is running things, and blackbox' user
base is growing a bit, I think it's time to reconsider what needs to be
done. We've been getting a lot of suggestions from here and there as to
what should be removed, changed, added, or completely redone. I think
blackbox has reached a point where it fullfills it's goals well. If you
take the overall design of it, there seems to be nothing left to do. So
what are we to do now?

A toolkit based on blackbox or some sort of imaging library is a good
direction. This keeps blackbox the same, while allowing the addition of
other projects for other purposes. Now let me say what should be done
about some other ideas.

The ideas about Oberon, or any other major redesign of the blackbox
interface (including the removal of the toolbar) should not be compile
time options. They should not be included in the blackbox project.
Patches are fine, and we can easily build a good patch archive for those
who would like to modify the interface in a way. For major changes (like
the system tracks idea) I think it would be best to split the source
tree. I feel that it would be better to have two projects fulfilling two
different goals than to have one trying to fill two divergent ones.

Hopefully, if we can reach a very stable point in the blackbox source
when no/very few releases are needed, we can begin extending/branching
other projects off of it.

Thanks.
