My problem is:

I want to go to the `Icons' entry of the menu ...

i) I click MB ... the box `Workspaces' opens -- OK

I move the arrow down by the normal (perpendicular) way, pass over
`Workspace 1' and ...

ii) a box opens, with title `Workspace 1', with entries ala
"Netscape: Hitching with Clipboard and Pen Along the Open Road: A Tech
Writer's Guide to the Open Source Movement (Part 2)" ... one, long, long
line, "Netscape: LinuxMafia Slackware Resources", et cetera.

The box, `Workspace 1', stays there (my Config. is: Click to Focus,
Cascade Placement, Left to Right, Top to Bottom, Image Dithering, Opaque
Window Moving, Focus New Windows); I can't move my arrow further, given
that the wide `Workspace 1' box covers my original target, `Icons', ... so
it stays there.

To select `Icons' I have therefore to: explicitly close or move `Workspace
1' on the side, or move the arrow on the left of `Workspaces' box from the
begin, so that I does not pass over the `Workspace 1' entry.

My point is: this is not optimal --what I am making wrong? I would like,
e.g., to have this `Workspace 1' box a little bit more on the side,
on the right (without moving it explicitly), still superposed on
`Workspaces', so that I can continue my movement with the arrow till
'Icons'. I have experimented with `Smart Placement' without success.

(I am sorry if my description of the problem is not too clear ... I fear
that you have perhaps to make a mini simulation.)

Cheers, roy
