I think you are right. Simplicity and low resource-use _is_ the mainissue
with bb.

Nice suggestion. I don't know how bb handles the virtual desktops, but
maybe bsetroot could be modified to set those different backgrounds. eg:
bsetroot -desktop 1 -solid rgb:00/ff/ff
It this doable ?
