i've got blackbox 0.61 running on both my brothers machine, and my own. and we
were running ktop to take a look at how much memory our themes were sucking up,
x for me was using 63 megs, and his at 32.
this just plain confused me, so i switched it to the same theme he was using.
and well, it changed from 63 to 57. which somehow just doesn't make sense to
me. we were running exactly the same applications for our little comparisons.
my system:
k6-3 400
asus p5a
64 megs pc100
voodoo banshee pci
mandrake (2.2.17-0.16) (i also had this much memory usage with .15-4, and
16-9)
brothers system:
p2 350
(i forget the motherboard)
128 megs pc100
tnt2 m64 16meg agp
mandrake 7.1, stock everything (except blackbox) (2.2.15-4)
any idea's as to why this would be?
