I may have figured out my problem! I am thinking that a badly configured
Style can make blackbox use extra resources.
I changed themes yesterday and now my load average is still low.
10:01AM up 2 days, 2:54, 1 user, load averages: 0.12, 0.47, 0.35
So I switched back to the bad style and a few minutes later:
10:12AM up 2 days, 3:05, 1 user, load averages: 2.70, 1.21, 0.65
When I switched back to Spiff style:
10:14AM up 2 days, 3:08, 1 user, load averages: 3.27, 2.05, 1.08
and then to TDF style the load continued to rise.
10:17AM up 2 days, 3:10, 1 user, load averages: 3.26, 2.50, 1.40
So then I did a Blackbox menu -> Restart:
10:21AM up 2 days, 3:15, 1 user, load averages: 0.21, 1.28, 1.16
and now several minutes later:
10:43AM up 2 days, 3:36, 1 user, load averages: 0.16, 0.16, 0.34
Below is my bad style file. If blackbox does have a problem with bad
styles then it should be fixed.
In May, I attempted to make it from looking at some other style called
SteelBlue. (It seems like I heard about a style conversion script, but I
can't find the URL; does anyone know where I can find it.)
