Howdy folks,
I finally upgraded to 0.61.1. The auto-hide toolbar was too much to resist.
Everything seems to be working as it should. My (rather minor) problem seems
to occur in all versions of blackbox. In KDE, for example, I can select a
cursor by adding the command "xsetroot -cursor_name cursorname" to my .xinitrc.
That doesn't work in bb.
I was suspicious that it was being overridden with a default cursor, so I added
"&& sleep 5" to the command. Sure enough, my cursor appears and 5 seconds
later is changed to the familiar but unwanted default as bb starts up.
Are there any suggestions how I can get bb to use my choice of cursor? Sure I
can fire up a terminal and issue the command whenever I want, but I wouldn't
consistently. And then I'd give up.
Even with this, I'm very pleased and impressed with bb's development. You
can't have everything. When you try, you'll always screw up something else. I
think that's on of the laws of complex systems (phrased a little different).
That's why I use blackbox.
Simplicity can be complicated to arrive at,
