If you took the time to read my question the last line says thanks to
anyone who cares to answer an off topic question (OFF TOPIC). I realize
this is the
bb mailing list. The reason I am trying to build a custom kernel is
because the modules for my sound card aren't compiled in by default and
I am running an older version of Debian so I thought what better time to
build a new kernel. As it turns out I had installed gcc but not g++ and
the dev files that go with it after doing that everything went fine. I
posted this question
to this list because I don't like the Debian mailing list ( to high a
volume for my taste ) , and the people here are usally willing to help
out with a question or two even if they are off topic questions.
Thank you for your respone though. I just hope you don't answer many
questions on the list, your poor attitude towards answering questions
will probably drive a few people off the list if your respones are
similar to the one I recieved and possibly from bb.
Thanks again JERK...
