If you couldn't tell from past posts, I am not a big fan of feature
creep. Not that I don't like features, I am a big fan of them. What I
don't like are features to make everyone happy.
In my opinion, different window managers exist so that those who want
different feature sets can be happy. I used to think blackbox catered to
those who used a very small amount of the features of other window
managers and were looking for something that emphasized speed over
configurability. It is unclear to me if this is still the case, as
features seem to have become more important than speed and minimalism over
the last year.
My question for you and the others on this list who have made it clear
that they want more features added to blackbox is: Why are you using
blackbox at all? You mention that other window managers do what you
want; why not use one of those other window managers? I am sincerely
curious and do not intend this as the start to a flame war. I just want
to know.
