Harumph. Yes, I'm reading. The problem with this (and anything that
involves workspaces in general) is that at some point you have to make
some assumptions. First off, to do "push this window to the
next/previous workspace" is no problem at all. Just a bit of code.
BUT. The second you get into the far more useful feature of "push this
window to workspace #N", you have to make an assumption about what the
upper bound on N is. As bbkeys stands right now, there are keygrabs for
workspaces 1-12 (and there's been some murmurings that that's not
enough). I have no problem in adding code to push windows around from
workspaces 1 to 12 if that's what people want. But what I'm not
interested at all in is adding code that makes too many assumptions or
that relies too much on additional application-use.

Such as "I use bbpager in a 4x12 matrix and therefore, I want bbkeys to
jump from workspace 4 to workspace 8 when I press <alt+down>," or "my
bbpager configuration looks like a 2x20 matrix and when I press
<alt+shift+control+left> I want my window to go from workspace 2 to
workspace 8."

So. You have to ask yourself one question. Do I feel lucky? No, wait,
you have to ask yourself a different question.... First, a show of
responses to how many people honestly care about this feature of pushing
windows to next/prev workspace and to a specific workspace? To my
count, it seems that the count is up to the large number of 2. Second,
what's the consensus around the list on the upper bounds of workspaces?
I asked this once before and got absolutely no response.

And furthermore, bah humbug. =:) cheers....
