rxvt and xterm can use a geometry resource or command line option; aterm
probably has the same -- read the manpage for aterm.
-geometry WIDTHxHEIGHT+XOFF+YOFF
Maybe:
aterm -geometry +50+50
aterm -geometry +50+400
