I haven't experienced this maximizing problem that you refer to.  I'm using
Xinerama on my work machine, and have used all three versions of maximize.
I will try them again just to be sure, but I don't recall having any kind of
a problem.  As for problems with events, can anyone be more specific as to
which events it has problems with?

I haven't tried dragging links from netscape, which version?  May only
experience with sawfish and Xinerama was under Gnome and it resulted in
reliable X lockups.  These problems went away when I changed to
enlightenment.  And now that I'm using BB I haven't seen a problem one.
