ok, i thought about some kind of 'directory/file - lists' in
blackbox - menu, too. maybe i can create some tiny little c - program
from this source. what i would do is something like this:

- a program that generates part of blackbox - menu - file from
  file - list
- every entry should be executeable, you could define some program
  by file-type, in example
   xmms %s:*.mp3
in a config file for that program.

that would take some setup-work before first-run, but i think
who really wants that feature can spend some time in configuring
it, right?

i would like to hear some suggestions on that, i.e. were to execute this
program (any possibility to do it everytime blackbox-menu is opened, or
only once when blackbox is started?), format of config-file, how to
determine file-types (by extension or by something like output of
'file bla.jpg'?), should this program put the menu together after
generating the parts it is meant to, or could the menufile assembled
from
its part in another way, and so on.

No, CTRL-ALT-DEL is not the proper way to end a programm. (RFC 1882)
